First day of school 2013

Alhamdullillah another year has gone and we are now entering a new year.
Loads of things happened last year.A lot of good memories alhamdullillah and some bad.
But all in all, I am so thankful to Allah for giving us all the bounty He has given us last year.

And this year, both of my children are starting their new academic year.
Aisy is now in her 1st year of primary years and Alesya is starting her kindergarten.A whole new experience for both of them.
For Aisy sbb die da masuk primary school dan byk benda akan dibuat sendiri. She will learn to be independent and start to buy her own food heh.Yes though the school is providing her lunch, we are giving Aisy her lunch money as well.RM5 per day.But so far, she has not spent a single cents.Alhamdullillah and the money goes to her piggy bank.Ops hee.
She said, she only ate what the teacher gave her.And she didn't even drink any ice water.Only from her tumbler.
As for Alesya, it is a whole new experience for her as she never been to any school before.Oh ok well maybe her ngaji class but that class was only once a week.
Today is her first day of school after her orientation's day last Friday. So by 7pm she already terbongkang.Penat sgt le tu...muehehehe.
But subhanallah she is very excited with her school.
As I mentioned before this, Alesya has always wanted to go to school. When we first sent her to school, she just said good bye and went in the class without much hassle.Alhamdullillah, both of them were OK.In fact, many kids at their school are OK.I mean no wailings from the kids.Heh
And alhamdullillah, though Aisy has eczema dan tak boleh tahan dgn panas, she managed to put on her tudung and long sleeves baju kurung until 3.30pm without much hassle.
Seriously this is one of the my biggest worries when Aisy first started the school.
Takut dia tak boleh tahan with the panas hence the itchiness.

Here are some pictures of them on their first day of school :D.
Ok the pictures are not in order.Malas nak susun in the correct order hee

ok this is aisy pagi2 before going to school

ok this is alesya.Kami tak perasan pun dgn jam ni.Alesya yg perasan dari jauh.Dia suruh cepat sbb da nak masuk waktu sekolah :D.Well da pukul 9 pun.Ini mas orientation day Aisy

Ok ini selepas solat zohor.Mereka solat zohor at 2.55pm dan habis at 3.30pm.Mereka belajar mcm mana nak solat and other things.

Aisy and her new friend, Alesha.Masa first time kenal aisy ckp, "eh mcm nama adik kita la"hehe

Aisy dan alesya kat RnR kat lekas hiway.Berenti kejap sbb ada lipas dlm kete.Masing2 penakut dgn lipas..muehehehe.Ini gambar hari ini.Hari ini baru Alesya mula kelas.

Ini masa da nak balik.Kat tadika alesya.Alesya pun balik pukul 3.30pm.Tapi sudah siap mandi semua le.Utk kanak2 5tahun, ada lebih kurang 100 org!Nasib baik ada 5 cikgu.Jadi dlm 1 kelas dlm 20 org le.

ok ini masa orientation day aisy.Sebelum sampai sekolah, ambil gas dulu kat Annur sbb dia batuk non stop.Masuk lambat le kelas on that day hehe

Aisy ada eczema.Jadi dia tak boleh panas2 ini.Alhamdullillah tempat Aisy betul2 bawah kipas.Seriously aku bersyukur sgt.Dan harap2nya Aisy tidak akan dipindahkan tempat duduk le.I requested from the teacher to put Aisy in front sbb she's wearing glasses dan tak nampak sgt.Kena tukar cermin mata die.Ye ye dlm proses :D

Masa orientation day Aisy.Terkejut juga tgk aisy makan dlm dulang heh.

Adik boring tunggu kakak, dia pergi ke tadika dia main playground :D

ini Aisy masa tour around school by mualim.Bukan die fokus pun.Suka sgt duk belakang2...tensi pula saya tgk huhu

Ok ini beratur nak balik rasanya. Before balik pun kena beratur hehe

ok ini masa orientation day Alesya.Orientation day alesya dan aisy tak sama.Though their in the same school.

Ini kami sampai awal sgt tapi orientationnya start kul 9pm.Jadi kami pun buat lawatan le di sekolah Aisy :D

Alesya dlm kelasnya.Tak ingat apa nama kelasnya tapi nama cikgu dia Aisyah

Tu le awal sangat.tade org lagi pun kat kelas alesya..hehe

So time ni aisy pule boring tunggu adik.Jadi dia pun main kat playground :D

Lepas adik abis, dia pun join kakak main playground..:D

The night before Aisy's 1st day at school, I read an article about how Malaysian children ranked far behind other countries such as Korea, China, Singapore and Taiwan in Science and other subject as well. And in the article mentioned that, that's why the percentage of Malay parents sending their children to Chinese school increases abruptly.
And they did mention that China is slowly dominating the world economy after their government open their countries to outsiders. And a lot of China companies are investing and opening in other countries hence give more job opportunities in that country including our countries.
Senang cite, kononnya utk future lebih cerah, masukkan la anak ke sekolah Cina.

That gave me a second thought again on Aisy's enrollment to Al Amin.Whether we have made the right decision for Aisy.Whether we have made the correct decision for Aisy future and career path. That questions kept repeating in my mind and again I asked Allah for His guidance.

Subhanallah, Allah really answered our prayers immediately.

The next day, we went to Al Amin for Aisy's first day of school. Then as usual, the parents swarming all over the place. While waiting for Aisy, I found several other parents and Allah gave the answers via them, subhanallah.

I met this one parent, a datin(which I didn't know she was a datin until she handed me her business card ok which after that I was undecided whether to call her datin or just by her name, heh). And her daughter is in the same class as Aisy and that is her 3rd child. All her other children study at Al Amin.
So I asked her, how was her other children? She said alhamdulillah, so far her children mmg straight A's punya student and she said that she didn't worry about academic too much. She chose Al Amin as she said she is more concerned with her children kerohanian rather than their academic achievement. She is more concerned with their sahsiah diri rather than whether his children getting all A's for their subjects. She said, she can simply see the difference between her children and the cousins especially on tingkahlaku and also solat and quran reading.
She also mentioned that, a councillor from a sekolah kebangsaan in Bangi is also sending her children to Al Amin and didn't send to sekolah kebangsaan sbb sahsiah/tingkahlaku budak2 sekolah kebangsaan is really alarming. She said if she got a handphone from a student, she wouldn't dare to read the SMS in it as they are really terrible! And these children are only in their form 1!

Then I met another parent. She also mentioned that she has 3 children.1 children in his secondary years and the other 1 is in his primary years. Her youngest son was also enrolled to a sekolah kebangsaan before this. But when she compares her children and with her neighbors children(yg masuk Al Amin), she can really see the difference. And she said, she's going to try her youngest child in Al Amin.He is now a new student at Al Amin, standard 2.

And I met some other parents who more or less gave the same reason why they chose this school.

After listening all the remarks/opinion from these parents, I come to conclusion that, rezeki tu di tangan Allah and not in the hand of some chinese tycoon.
Yeh perhaps if you know how to speak chinese and your academic achievements are good, you may have better future. But how about other things in life?
Again, rezeki di tangan Allah.Jika kita buat sesuatu yg diberkati, insyallah, hati kita senang di dunia ini. Somehow berkat is a very intangible thing that many people do not understand and it can't be measured physically. And that's why most of us tend to overlook this.
I learned something from one of the talks at Twins of Faith, a talk given by Sh Abdurraheem Green. He said that most of the students nowadays spend their 4-5 years study at University to learn something that 95% of it will not be used for the rest of their lives. And he said, why spend on your youth learning something that you  will not use?You learn something just for the sake of the exam and after that not even remember it and use it your daily life? Why not learn something that you can make use of it everyday in your life in dunya and also will be very useful in the world after?
You can get both of the benefit here in dunya and also in the world after, insyallah.

So again, my heart tells me to stick with our first objective when we first decided to enroll Aisy to this school. We want Aisy to understand that the existance of Allah swt.The One who can watch over her and also so that Aisy would be cautious not to do something that will be against Him.
Once she understands that, insyallah she will lead a proper life. She will understand that the purpose of this life is to worship Allah which it can be in many many many ways.Yes of course we have to do all the rukun islam, but other thing as well, such as study for the sake of Allah, help others for the sake of Allah, get married for the sake of Allah and many many many more is an act of ibadah.
We want Aisy to understand that we as parents can't always be there for her nor that we can be monitoring her all the time.Utk halang dia buat dari benda2 yg salah. So she needs to understand that Allah has the greatest power to do that.
Basically,80% of our work as a parent to instill on her innerself and kerohanian is done in Al Amin.Jadi kami di rumah hanya perlu follow up je and do the balance of 20% :D.

Hehe it's hard to explain this but I hope you understand what I'm trying to explain.
I know,I am not a good at explaining things :D

But one thing I did not agree with what some of the parents was when they said that they didn't really concern about their children academic. To me, kena selari le.
Kalau tidak , bagaimana dulu kita punya ramai muslim scholar who is alim ulama that made great discovery especially in sciences and other matters as well?Such as ibn Khaldun, and others?Even until now the western people are using our muslim scholars discovery or kitab as a reference, subhanallah!

So perhaps, the problem of nowadays muslim is in their education system.
Dulu2 sebelum anak2 diberi ajar subjek lain, mereka perlu menghafal al quran dan hadis dulu. Kelebihan menghafal al quran dan hadis ini mmg byk.Salah satunya adalah utk mengaktifkan otak kanan.Jika kita semua pernah baca, ramai sekarang yg fokus pada pembelajaran otak kanan, yakni bagaimana utk mengaktifkan otak kanan supaya kita boleh optimize our brain.
A lot of programme such as Sichida,Heguru and other things are focusing in right brain education because they now understand the power of the right brain. But guess what, these programmes gonna cost a fortune!

A good thing about becoming a muslim, you can easily activate your right brain by memorizing the Quran. It teaches you about photographic memory and other things as well.Subhanallah, the programme will not cost you a bomb! And at the same time you will get pahala which would be useful in your after life heh.

So to me, if you are huffaz and then you did not learn other subject especially sciences and math, when your brain is at its optimum level, it will be such a waste!
Yes we want our children to be good in sahsiah, their innerself. But at the same time, we need to equip them with their dunya needs as well.Kena selari, dunya and hereafter.
All I am saying is that, we need to look into how muslim scholar those days learned. Then only we can be like them, insyallah :)

But again, it's our choice for our children. No one has the right opinion. If we think that chinese school is the best for our children, then by all means do proceed with the plan.If you think sekolah kebangsaan is the best, then proceed.Everyone has their own plan and their own preferences.May we all make the right choice for our future generation, insyallah :)
