Our Chronicles: First day at school

Aisy has started her first year at her new kindergarten.
Ala kindergarten kat dengan rumah je....hehe.
Not smart reader, Qdees or other well known franchise kindergarten.
It’s an Islamic school.

It's not an islamic english school.But the teacher said they are going towards that.
Their plan for this year is to introduce english gradually.So they are planning to make sure that before break, the children can speak in BM but after recess everyone has to speak in English, even the teachers.
Well it's a good initiative.

But what I like about the school (though it looks small and old), the learning concept is more towards playing and not really academic.
They don’t have exams and also no homework(yey!)

So at the age of 5, aisy tade le pressure sgt.
Come on, let her enjoy her childhood.

And the interesting part is they introduce "station" concept.

Mcm mana nak cite eh?
Station as in the children will go to each of the station at any given time and they will explore themselves at each station.More on exploring things on their own.
Ada art station, computer station, reading station and others.
Erk, nanti le aku baca balik the booklet given by the school and I will explain again heh.

Anyway the school starts at 8am and ends at 12pm.
And every Friday, it ends at 11am.

Aisy got her uniform.1 official uniform and 1 sports attire.
She needs to put her official uniform every Monday and Wednesday whereby she needs to wear the sports attire every Tuesday and Thursday.
And on every Friday, they will have so called “garden party” and they are allowed to wear anything they want as long as tutup aurat.
Isn't that kewl or what?*Grin*

This so called “garden party” is to teach these children on sharing and some other good values So every Friday they need to bring their own food(just for 1 person portion) and at school the teachers will potong2 the food and have their “ garden party”.
Nice eh?hehe.

Oh yeh she needs to put on her tudung.

Tak tahu le mcm mana aisy boleh tahan ke tak sbb dia mudah berpeluh dan ada eczema.I asked the teacher whether she can be excluded from wearing tudung
But the teacher said that if they allow aisy not to wear tudung, other children will question and will want to be excluded as well.Which is not their intention and will not achieve their objective.Because it is an Islamic kindergarten and they want to instill Islamic values in the children.

So I guess Aisy kena ikut le.
Anyway semalam cikgu lupa nak bagi tudung aisy.So I have to call the teacher to inform her so that she will give aisy tudung to her.

About the whole concept of the school, well tak tau le…dari dgr cikgu tu bercerita mcm best je…tapi tatau le sebenarnya implementation dia mcm mana.

We have yet to see the outcome.

Tadi masa hantar, aisy terus masuk dlm tadika dan tak kisahkan kami pun.Tadi pagi I sent her.Adik and abah tagged along. She was a bit reluctant to salam and kiss us sbb tak sabar nak masuk tadika nak main and jumpa kawan2.*sigh*
And just now when I called her to ask about her school, she was blabbering about the TV instead of her new school.Dia kata TV tak boleh on le rosak le itu le ini le.

Heh aisy2…mcm2.
Guess I need to see her face to face to ask her about her school.

Oh yeh aisy balik tadi naik van.Teacher jumma hantar.
Though the distance is less than 200meters but the teacher charged us RM35 for pergi balik transportation.Cekik darah betui.Aku cuba nego tapi dia kata mmg harga flat rate tak kisah jauh ke dekat.

Mahai betul.
Nak suh aisy balik jln kaki sendiri tak berani pule hehe.
So tape le…just for the sake of Aisy yg cheeky itu :)
